Group Classes "Горобці" (A1, module 3)

Service Description

10 online group lessons (90 minutes) on Thursdays, 19:30 Kyiv time. From May 29, 2025 to July 31, 2025. This group will be great for so-called "false" beginners: people who studied Ukrainian a bit already, know some basic vocabulary and maybe some grammar, practiced Ukrainian just a bit by themselves before and/or attended the 1st module in our school. Platforms: Zoom (call) + Ready To (materials & exercises) + Telegram chat (communication) Teacher: Dmytro Uzhchenko, PhD in Ukrainian linguistics, VERBA teacher Topics: 1. Calendar (functional language lesson) 2. Cardinal & Ordinal Numerals (grammar lesson) 3. Holidays (reading lesson) 4. Holidays & Traditions (speaking club) 5. Time (functional language lesson) 6. Transport (vocabulary lesson) 7. Verbs of motion (grammar lesson) 8. Travels (speaking club) 9. It happened to me (reading lesson) 10. Revision The lesson materials are based on the textbook "Яблуко" and Verba School's materials. During the course, we work on all the language skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing/typing) and systems (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation). Two lessons from the course are prepared in a Speaking Club format to boost your communicative competence in Ukrainian. The last lesson includes revision and recycling. In Verba school, we like to keep things fun, but efficient. We use a communicative approach that's perfect for groups. What does that mean for you? Well, it means you'll get plenty of chances to chat and practice speaking, even when we're diving into vocabulary and grammar. We don't want to leave anything out, so our lessons cover listening, speaking, reading, and yes, even a bit of writing. It's all part of our master plan to help you learn Ukrainian efficiently. Why group classes? Well, they're like a language party! You'll have more chances to talk, more interactive activities, and a little friendly competition to keep things exciting. But don't worry, we're not all about the fun. We also believe in creating a cozy, supportive atmosphere while using a modern methodology.
