A practical course on Ukrainian particles, conversational expressions, pronunciation, and intonation that will help you sound more natural, expressive, and confident in everyday Ukrainian. The course program: Lesson 1: The Power of Ж / Же Emphasizing what you say and referring to what is already known or obvious. Learn how to add emphasis and express frustration, insistence, or a reminder in everyday speech — for example, Я ж туди щодня їжджу! (“But I go there every day!”). Lesson 2: The Art of Softening — Б / Би Making suggestions and giving advice in a softer, friendlier way. Learn how to express ideas, wishes, and suggestions without sounding too direct or demanding. Lesson 3: Surprise & Doubt — Хіба / Невже Expressing genuine surprise, disbelief, and doubt. Learn how to react naturally to unexpected information and show that you find something hard to believe. Lesson 4: Mid-course Integration — Mixing Particles in Conversation A big conversational practice session. Combine the particles you have learned in longer role-plays and realistic dialogues, and review the key patterns from the first half of the course. Lesson 5: Focus & Emphasis — Ось / То / Таки Drawing attention to specific details and emphasizing what matters most. Learn how to highlight information, point something out, and confidently insist on what you mean. Lesson 6: Emotional Reactions — Native Speaker Expressions Learn the most common conversational reactions used by native speakers: Та ти що!, Оце так!, Аякже!, Ще б пак! — and discover when and how to use them naturally. Lesson 7: Euphony & Native Flow Making your Ukrainian sound smoother and more natural. Learn the basics of Ukrainian euphony and practice choosing between у / в, і / й, and other forms to create a natural flow — for example, у Київ and каву й тістечко. Lesson 8: Mastering Natural Conversation — Final Synthesis Put everything together in real-life conversation. Practice having a fast, natural conversation with a native speaker using the particles and expressions from the course — without stopping to think about grammar.
