10 online group lessons (75 minutes) on Fridays, 19:30 Kyiv time. From April 3 to June 5, 2026. This group is designed for absolute beginners (Ukrainian from zero). You will learn to read in Ukrainian, talk about yourself and your family, describe your hobbies and interests, speak about food, and describe people and objects, as well as learn basic Ukrainian grammar. Platforms: Zoom (call) + Ready To (materials & exercises) + Telegram chat (communication) Teacher: Dmytro Uzhchenko, PhD in Ukrainian linguistics, Verba School teacher. Topics: 1. Я читаю українською! (Reading and pronunciation lesson) 2. ID-картка: Хто ти? (About Yourself & Family) 3. Роблю, робив, буду робити (3 tenses of verbs in Ukrainian) 4. Що ти робиш? (What are you doing?) 5. Що ти любиш? (Hobbies & Interests) 6. Який він? Яка вона? (Describing People & Objects) 7. Щи моїмо? (Food vocabulary) 8. Що я бачу, чую, дивлюся? (Accusative case) 9. У ресторані! (Phrases about food, ordering dishes) 10. Ще раз! (Revision) The lesson materials are partially based on the textbook "Яблуко" and Verba school's materials. During the course, we work on all the language skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing/typing) and systems (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation). The last lesson includes revision and recycling. In Verba School, we like to keep things fun, but efficient. We use a communicative approach that's perfect for groups. What does that mean for you? Well, it means you'll get plenty of chances to chat and practice speaking, even when we're diving into vocabulary and grammar. We don't want to leave anything out, so our lessons cover listening, speaking, reading, and yes, even a bit of writing. It's all part of our master plan to help you learn Ukrainian efficiently. Why group classes? Well, they're like a language party! You'll have more chances to talk, more interactive activities, and a little friendly competition to keep things exciting. But don't worry, we're not all about the fun. We also believe in creating a cozy, supportive atmosphere while using a modern methodology.
